Christmas with the Allens
Christmas dinner was at Annette and Ray's home. Nick was the center of attention and much entertainment as well.

This is about 5 1/2 minutes of Nick dancing, "whistling" and just being happy. He's in his t-shirt because he was playing pretty hard and getting kind of hot.

Veteran's Day 2008
Today is Veteran's Day and tonight was "date night" for Todd and Christine so Grandma Allen got to babysit. Nick was starting to feel a bit under the weather but you would hardly know it by how hard he played. I took scads of pictures wanting to catch every nuance of Nick's personality.

Caught Nick by the "gate." The gate had to be installed because Nick figured out how to open the door to the garage. Looking innocent, un huh. He was dropping his blocks, one by one, over the gate.

In the shop
Todd and Nick came for a short visit to the shop. Though you don't see them, the "girls" are in the shop with us so we (and Nick) didn't want him to walk around since they are about as tall as him. That explains why he is being held in all the pictures. Believe me, before the end of the visit he was wanting his freedom despite Emma and Daisy's eagerness to lick him to death!

Babysitting Nick

It was our first time keeping Nick for a long day. We had a great time! Nick spent a lot of time in Grandpa's lap having serious conversations and sleeping.

Nick's Official 1st Birthday Celebration
Close family members were present to celebrate Nick's first birthday. Mommy & Daddy, Grandma Turtle, Grandpa & Grandma Hazlett, Grandpa & Grandma Allen, Uncle Curt & Aunt Val Hazlett & Colton and Lauren.
